Holy Shit, guys… gals…

I cannot even begin to tell you what our last few weeks were like. Getting back to a normal—or sort of normal—life has been a ride in itself. The band has been through some wild changes, and I’m not just talking about life on the road. We’ve got a new tone, a new vibe, something we think you’re going to love. But don’t worry, we haven’t forgotten the sound that made you fans in the first place.

To introduce this new direction, we’re doing something special with our next album. We’re going to offer two CDs—yeah, you heard that right—because we want to give you the full experience. This album is going to be something different, something intense, and we want you to feel every note, every riff, every story we’re trying to tell. We’re doing this independently, by the way. That’s right, no big labels pulling the strings this time.

And speaking of labels, let me give you a little inside scoop. We’re still up against giants here. Our old label? They just bought Obsidian Records and then shut them down. Vindictive much? But you know what? That’s not going to stop us. If we have to do the whole digital download thing to get our music to you, then so be it. I’m a techie and a sound technician—though I’m more one than the other—but I guess I’m about to learn a whole lot more about the digital side of things.

But here’s the thing—we’re not just looking to sell music. We’re here to make music. Powerful, life-changing, magical, amazing music. If you were at any of our last few concerts, you’d know exactly what I mean. Seen any red dragons in Michigan lately? No? No reasons… anyway.

So here’s the deal: Two CDs for the new album. One will be our signature power metal flow you love and know, maybe with a bit of that groove metal edge we’ve been toying with. The other? The other is a story you just need to fucking hear. It’s why we won’t be going back to the mainstream anytime soon. And no, we can’t tell you why… but trust me, the hints are out there if you look.

Life is good. Just don’t go reading the track titles too carefully—spoilers, isn’t it?
