Riffuge Studios & Ghost Riff Riders: A Major Chapter Update From Ryder Mason – Founder, Riffuge Studios & Ghost Riff Riders
Dallas, TX – May 2026
Hey everyone,
It’s been way too long since we dropped a proper update, and that’s on me. Riffuge Studios and the GRR crew have been through some serious changes over the past several months. While we’ve been heads-down rebuilding and realigning, we dropped the ball on keeping you in the loop. That changes now.
First and foremost, Sam and Vera Carter are still very much part of the Riffuge family. They’ve both taken a leave of absence—Sam stepped back from heading up productions, management, and finances, and Vera from her role as lead singer of Ghost Riff Riders. We love them, we support them, and the door is always open.
In their place, we brought on Liam Creed, and the guy has been an absolute game-changer. He’s stepped up as our new Dallas studio manager and producer, bringing with him a wealth of legacy talent and international connections that are already elevating what we do.
On the family and expansion front, my sister Lily Mason (now Krell) and her husband Vincent Krell are killing it running the Denver branch of Riffuge as full business partners. Huge love to both of them.
Musically, we’ve reshuffled the GRR lineup: Nikki Hart has moved into the lead vocal slot alongside me, and the new chemistry is firing on all cylinders.
These shifts meant we had to make some tough calls—letting go of certain staff, bringing in fresh blood, and completely re-focusing our priorities. As a result, production has slowed while we stabilize. Studio availability is tighter than usual, we’ve had to pump the brakes on aggressively booking tours and new talent signings for the moment, but we are still very much open and operating.
On a high note:
- We’re pumped to see Shitty Squirrels out there opening dates on the Ripped Tour. We gave them their first real shot and always said we don’t own our artists—we just want to help them launch. Wherever they’re recording now, we wish them nothing but the best.
- The Prybirds are deep in the studio working on their next album.
- Lily is cooking up a brand-new solo project.
- And Liam Creed is heading a fiery joint project with Aria Donnavan—rumored to be called “Ultra-Violent.” We can’t wait to hear what those two create.
We’re rebuilding stronger, leaner, and with clear eyes on the future. I promise we’ll do a much better job keeping everyone updated moving forward—me personally, plus the interns who are about to get drafted into regular posting duty on X and the site.
Thank you for riding with us through the changes. The best is still ahead.
Rock On, Ryder Mason Founder – Riffuge Studios & Ghost Riff Riders Dallas, Texas
