Ghost Riff Riders Release New Song “Always With Me” from Final Album ‘RESTRICTED ACCESS’ in Memory of Ryder Mason

Fans, it is with profound sadness that we announce the release of the song “Always With Me,” featured on our final album, RESTRICTED ACCESS. This track is dedicated to the memory of Ryder Mason, founder of Ghost Riff Riders, who passed away far too soon. Written by his love, Luna Grey, this song stands as a tribute to his life, his legacy, and the impact he had on all who knew him.

In Loving Memory of Ryder Mason (1992 – 2024)

Ryder Mason, the driving force behind Ghost Riff Riders, is no longer with us in this mortal existence. Many of you are aware of the tragic events that led to this loss. After we turned in the members of the band Sirens of Sacrifice for their horrific actions, we devoted ourselves to helping others and doing good wherever possible. Unfortunately, nearly a week ago, several members of Sirens of Sacrifice escaped from maximum security prison and tracked us down, using our public tour schedule to find us. In the ensuing attack, Ryder was gravely injured and has since passed away. He is survived by his younger sister, Lily Mason.

The outpouring of support from fans has been overwhelming. Scores of you came to Ryder’s resting place to pay your respects, and we are eternally grateful for your love and solidarity during this incredibly difficult time.

Cancellation of Remaining Tour Dates

Given these events, all remaining tour dates have been canceled, and tickets have been refunded. The band has no plans to continue at this time. We ask that you donate to a local charity of your choice in Ryder’s name. “Rock On Ryder”—you will be deeply missed.

About “Always With Me”

“Always With Me” was intended as a love song and goodbye from Luna Grey, Ryder’s girlfriend and soulmate. At Ryder’s funeral, Luna was too heartbroken to sing it herself, but it was important to her—and to all of us—that this deeply personal tribute be included on the final album. We understand that some may find the inclusion of this song on the album controversial, but we believe it was Ryder’s and Luna’s wish for it to be shared with the world.

Final Farewell

Ghost Riff Riders’ music has always been more than just songs; it’s been a journey through life’s chaos and the unknown. We started out playing underground clubs, defying shutdown orders, and performing in bars where the rules didn’t apply. Strange occurrences, from flickering lights to unexplained presences, became a part of our story, and we leaned into that chaos, channeling it into our music.

As we release RESTRICTED ACCESS, we bid farewell to Ryder Mason, our brother, our friend, and our leader. His influence will live on in the music he helped create, and in the hearts of all who loved him.
